Infertility Warrior of the Week, Wendy and Ryan

I always knew I had endometriosis because of the pain and my family history. I hoped it wouldn’t cause infertility, but by the time my husband and I were ready to have a baby, it had done it’s damage. I met with a Reproductive Endocrinologist and we started with the laparoscopy procedure to officially diagnose the endo and determine the severity.

I hoped that after the surgery we would be able to conceive naturally, but unfortunately that wasn’t the case. I had a severe case of endo and one tube was blocked and the other would be a “bumpy ride” according to my doctor. He said I’d be a great candidate for IVF. I was scared of the idea of IVF, but after much prayer, my husband and I decided to go for it.

We only had one embryo make it to day five, and she was already completely hatched by the time we did the frozen embryo transfer a few months later. She is truly a miracle from above and was born on 2/3! My only suggestion for anyone on this journey is to stay positive and have faith. Prayer got us through all the trying moments.
